"Young Woman and the Sea" is a biographical drama film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. It stars Daisy Ridley as Gertrude Ederle, an American competitive swimmer who became the first woman to swim across the English Channel in 1926. The film is based on Glenn Stout’s book of the same name
