Center for Spiritual Living Kaua’i Presents Inaugural Creative Intelligence Award to Carole Rae Watanabe in honor of her generous artwork contribution
Kaua’i, HI — The Center for Spiritual Living Kaua’i (CSL Kaua’i) is thrilled to announce captivating new murals, currently completed, by renowned artist Carole Watanabe. Located at the Hongwanji Mission property at 4-1170 Kuhio Highway, this vibrant masterpiece promises to become a hallmark of inspiration and beauty for the local community.
“CSL Kaua‘i provided me with a space to do what I love most,” said Carole Watanabe, “and that is to create a living museum — a body of work I call ‘LIVE ART.’”
Carole Watanabe’s illustrious career spans six decades of artistic achievement and entrepreneurial innovation. Known for her dedication to dissolving boundaries and embracing passion over fear, Carole has exhibited internationally and founded groundbreaking creative organizations, including:

In recognition of her extraordinary gift and creative legacy, Carole Watanabe will be awarded CSL Kaua‘i’s inaugural “Creative Intelligence Award” on April 13, 2025. This award celebrates individuals who embody the Spirit’s ever-evolving artistry and contribute to the collective upliftment of humanity through inspired action.
In Science of Mind philosophy, Creative Intelligence refers to the Infinite Mind of Spirit that responds to thought and intention, bringing ideas into form. It is the divine pattern of wisdom, beauty, and order always expressing through us as creativity, inspiration, and manifestation. Carole’s mural is a stunning example of this truth in action.
The murals, with their luminous and colorful design, complement CSL Kaua‘i’s mission of fostering spiritual growth and community connection. Visitors to the Center will also have the opportunity to explore the permanent labyrinth created by Isha Doellgast, which was lovingly donated by Carole and the Stanny Foundation.
